Services

Rita O'Connell: Doer of Things

I do many things for a variety of clients. My specialties are listed below, but I'll be honest, I'm generally pretty useful and very happy to help you with the things you need help with. Just ask!

That said, here are the areas in which I have quantifiable professional and/or academic experience:

Writing and Editing

So you have something brilliant to say, but need a little help saying it in the most sparkling and economical fashion? With experience creating and editing copy for

  • Grants
  • Websites & blogs
  • Social media
  • Advertising & marketing
  • Speeches
  • Resumes
  • Theses
  • White papers
  • Manuscripts (of all shapes and sizes)
        and even
  • Greeting cards,

I'm here to help you say what you want to say, even if you didn't know you wanted to say it.

Communications Consultation

I offer affordable consultations for individuals and organizations who want to reinvigorate their communications and outreach efforts. Whether you communicate in person, online, or on good old-fashioned paper, we'll work together to share your brilliant work with the world.

Developing a new program? I'll help you work out the details. Starting a new marketing campaign? Let's finesse the words together. Doing so much research your eyes are starting to cross? I quite sincerely love to read long academic papers, and tell you which parts YOU need to read. Writing a book/poem/card/letter/facebook status? Whether it's sincere, pointed, or hilarious that you're aiming for, I can help you strike exactly the tone you want.

With many years of experience managing professional theaters and organizing large events, I'm also quite good at helping you plan and execute outstanding events.

I specialize in providing services to nonprofit organizations, but will gladly consider multi-million-dollar corporate contracts as well.
